The XC14 TR SG is the race tyre for technical courses. Wet roots, slabs, damp rock, woodland: it's the model that raced in the cross-country World Cup, and the one you fit on the front when the terrain becomes hard to read.
Knobs arrow-shaped, pointing in the direction of travel. The geometry opens the blocks outwards: soil doesn't get trapped, and the edges are available to bite at every moment. This gives the tyre its characteristic cornering behaviour — the steering is positive, without the moment of uncertainty of a round-knob tyre.
Casing 210/375 TPI, reinforced sidewalls — the most vulnerable part of an MTB tyre —, Grip Silicacompound. Tubeless ready, aramid beads, compatible with hookless rims. 29 × 2,35, guaranteed maximum weight. Also available in an electric version, the XC14 E-25.
|
An extra layer of rubberised casing under the tread: a sufficient barrier against most punctures, without hurting efficiency. |
Nanostructured silica tread compound, tailored to each discipline. Its strong point is grip, especially in the rain. |
|
Nano-block inner rubber, built into the casing, which holds the air without an inner tube. It is what makes a tyre “tubeless ready”. |
A nylon layer on the sidewalls of gravel and XC tyres: cut protection and stability at low pressure. |
