What it does

The Speedero HD keeps the Speedero's fast profile and gives it a casing that takes the punishment. It is the version for high mileage, loaded bikes and stony tracks — the compromise many look for in gravel: riding fast without changing tyres every month.

The HD casing

130/255 TPI with thick fibres instead of 210/375: the tyre withstands higher pressures and heavier loads, and resists cuts better. The price to pay is about thirty grams and a little less suppleness.

The rest

Wide, shallow tread, sidewalls nylon against stone cuts, puncture-protection belt, aramid beads, compatible with hookless rims. In 36, 40 and 44 mm.

What's inside

Standard puncture protection An extra layer of rubberised casing under the tread: a sufficient barrier against most punctures, without hurting efficiency.	Grip Silica compound Nanostructured silica tread compound, tailored to each discipline. Its strong point is grip, especially in the rain.
Airtight TR rubber Nano-block inner rubber, built into the casing, which holds the air without an inner tube. It is what makes a tyre “tubeless ready”.	Nylon-reinforced sidewalls A nylon layer on the sidewalls of gravel and XC tyres: cut protection and stability at low pressure.
