What it does
The Calibra Plus is Tufo's lightest clincher tyre: 180 g in 23 mm. A pure, foldable racing tyre for cyclists who ride hooked rims and want liveliness above all else.
The tread
The pattern is that of classic racing tyres: smooth in the centre so the rubber works as little as possible in a straight line, ribbed with diamond points on the shoulders to clear water and keep grip when the bike is leaning over. It is a proven geometry, whose efficiency comes from the fineness of the cut.
The construction
Casing 120/240 TPI, rubber compound SPC Silica, standard puncture protection. In 23, 25 and 28 mm, from 180 to 235 g.

 An extra layer of rubberised casing under the tread: a sufficient barrier against most punctures, without hurting efficiency. |
 Tufo's reference road compound: 66 Shore A, a blend of natural and synthetic rubbers loaded with activated silica, for wet grip and low rolling resistance. |
| Side Skin sidewall protection A very light composite layer of rubber and polyester on the sidewalls: it extends their life without weighing the tyre down. Tufo calls it “Side Skin”. |
