What it does
The Primus 33 SG covers all cyclo-cross conditions except deep mud : grass, damp earth, sand, hard-packed dry ground, gravel. It is the tubular of most French races, where the terrain is rarely extreme from start to finish.
The tread
A self-cleaningcentre strip, whose pattern clears the earth on every wheel revolution, and pronounced outer knobs which give great stability in hard cornering. It is a faster-rolling design than the Cubus, less committed in the slop.
The two casings
Standard 60/90 TPI (400 g, up to 4.5 bar) for training and durability, or Flexus 210/315 TPI (350 g, up to 3 bar) for racing: more supple, lighter, it allows the low pressures at which cyclo-cross is won. Soft, high-absorption rubber in both cases.

Glued, or fixed with Tufo double-sided tape: Tufo Double-Sided Tape for road tubulars — no drying time, you ride straight away. Inside, the Tufo Anti-Puncture Sealant — Standard injected through the valve before the first ride seals punctures up to 5 mm.
