The XC11 TR SG is the all-round tyre of the cross-country and marathon range, developed with professional riders. It fits at the front as well as the rear, on courses that mix trail, track and road sections — which is to say most real-world courses.
A low-dragdesign, with open grooves that clean themselves. The knobs are low enough not to cost efficiency on hard ground, and spaced enough to clear the earth. It is a compromise, acknowledged as such: on a very muddy course, an XC14 does better at the front; on a very dry course, an XC13 rolls better at the rear.
Casing 210/375 TPI, reinforced sidewalls against cuts, compound Grip Silica, standard puncture protection. Tubeless ready, aramid beads, compatible with hookless rims. 29 × 2.35, black or beige sidewalls.
|
An extra layer of rubberised casing under the tread: a sufficient barrier against most punctures, without hurting efficiency. |
Nanostructured silica tread compound, tailored to each discipline. Its strong point is grip, especially in the rain. |
|
Nano-block inner rubber, built into the casing, which holds the air without an inner tube. It is what makes a tyre “tubeless ready”. |
A nylon layer on the sidewalls of gravel and XC tyres: cut protection and stability at low pressure. |
