What it does
The XC13 TR SG is the fastest of the four XCs. Dry trails, compacted tracks, road links: it is the tyre for less technical courses where you want to make progress, and an excellent choice for the rear wheel of a marathon bike.
The tread and the compounds
Low, closely spaced knobs, almost a continuous strip in the centre. Tufo applies the know-how of its gravel and road tubeless compounds — the brand makes all three families, and the XC13 is the one that benefits most: grip on hard ground is more like that of a gravel tyre than that of an MTB tyre.
The construction
Casing 210/375 TPI, reinforced sidewalls, standard puncture protection. Tubeless ready, aramid beads, compatible with hookless rims. 29 × 2,35.
What's inside
 An extra layer of rubberised casing under the tread: a sufficient barrier against most punctures, without hurting efficiency. |
 Nanostructured silica tread compound, tailored to each discipline. Its strong point is grip, especially in the rain. |
 Nano-block inner rubber, built into the casing, which holds the air without an inner tube. It is what makes a tyre “tubeless ready”. |
 A nylon layer on the sidewalls of gravel and XC tyres: cut protection and stability at low pressure. |

Airtight rim tape, tubeless valve, then preventive sealant: Tufo Anti-Puncture Sealant — Tubeless Ready 50 ml (one wheel) or the 220 ml bottle. Aramid beads, can be fitted on hooked rims as well as hookless rims.
