2Scope
These terms and conditions of sale (“T&Cs”) apply, without restriction or reservation, to all sales concluded on the velox.fr website between Velox and any person, consumer or business (“the customer”). They define the rights and obligations of the parties and prevail over any other document.
The customer accepts them by ticking the box provided before payment. They can be accessed at any time on the site; we recommend that you save or print them. The provisions specific to consumers (right of withdrawal, legal guarantee of conformity, mediation) apply under the conditions laid down by law.
The T&Cs are drafted in French; this English version is provided for convenience, and the French version prevails in the event of any discrepancy. They apply to deliveries to mainland France and to the other countries served by the shop.
3Products
Products are sold in compliance with French law and the standards applicable in France. Each product page presents the essential characteristics of the product, its price and its availability.
Photographs are as faithful as possible. Slight differences in appearance may nevertheless exist, due to the shooting, the processing of the images or the customer's screen settings.
4Ordering
4.1 The customer selects their products, checks their cart, enters their addresses and the delivery method, accepts these T&Cs and then pays. Confirmation of the order is acknowledged by an e-mail. The data recorded by the ordering system constitutes proof of the nature, content and date of the order.
4.2 The information provided by the customer when ordering is binding on them. In the event of an error in the delivery details, Velox cannot be held responsible for the impossibility of delivering the product. Velox may refuse or cancel an order for a legitimate reason, in particular a dispute over the payment of a previous order or a risk linked to shipping or payment; the customer is then informed by e-mail.
4.3 If an ordered product turns out to be unavailable, Velox informs the customer without delay. The customer may choose to receive a product of equivalent quality and price — in which case the return costs linked to any exercise of the right of withdrawal are borne by Velox — or to be refunded the sums paid for that product, no later than 14 days after payment.
5Prices
Prices are shown in euros. They are inclusive of all taxes (VAT applicable on the day of the order) for delivery in France and the European Union, and exclusive of tax for other countries. They include, where applicable, the eco-contribution, shown on the product page.
Prices do not include delivery costs. These depend on the weight of the parcel and the destination; they are shown before the order is confirmed, and the total amount to pay (products and delivery) is displayed before payment. For delivery outside the European Union, any customs duties and local taxes are payable by the recipient.
Velox may change its prices at any time; the price invoiced is the one displayed when the order is confirmed.
6Payment
The price is payable in full, online, at the time of the order, by one of the methods offered at the last step:
- bank card: CB, Visa, Mastercard;
- Apple Pay or Google Pay, from a compatible device;
- PayPal account;
- interest-free payment in four instalments with PayPal (“Pay in 4”), subject to eligibility and acceptance by PayPal, under the conditions it sets.
Payments are processed by PayPal (Europe) S.à r.l. et Cie, S.C.A., through the PrestaShop Checkout module. Card details are entered in secure PayPal fields: Velox never has access to them. Card payment may be subject to strong authentication (3-D Secure) at the request of the customer's bank.
The order is confirmed only once the payment provider has approved the payment; if it is declined, the order is not registered and the customer is informed. Payment in four instalments is financing granted by PayPal to the customer: it changes neither the price nor the customer's rights with regard to Velox.
7Delivery
Orders are delivered to the address given by the customer, in mainland France and the other countries offered at the time of the order, by Colissimo (home delivery, with or without signature, or to a pick-up point) or by Chronopost (home delivery, within 48 hours in France and in 1 to 3 days in Europe), depending on the method chosen. The available methods and their prices are shown before payment; delivery is free for orders of €600 or more including VAT.
Delivery takes place within 7 working days at the latest (excluding Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays) from receipt of the order and confirmation of its payment.
The risk of loss or damage to the products passes to the customer when they, or a third party they have designated other than the carrier offered by Velox, take physical possession of the products. We recommend that you check your parcel on delivery (references, quantities, condition) and report any problem to us straight away.
The parcel contains the invoice and a document setting out the terms of the right of withdrawal, together with the withdrawal form.
Velox may suspend a delivery if the customer has not met their obligations (payment, incorrect details making delivery impossible), or in the event of force majeure or an unforeseeable and irresistible event: industrial disputes, epidemics, wars, requisitions, fires, floods, transport interruptions or delays, export bans.
8Right of withdrawal
8.1 Period. Consumer customers have 14 days from receipt of the product to withdraw, without having to give a reason or pay any penalty. For an order of several products delivered separately, or a product made up of lots or pieces delivered separately, this period runs from receipt of the last product, lot or piece.
8.2 How to withdraw. The simplest way: the “Withdraw from the contract here” function, at the bottom of every page of the site. The customer enters their name, their order number and the e-mail address at which to receive the acknowledgement, then confirms; Velox immediately sends them an e-mail acknowledgement repeating their statement, with the date and time it was sent. The customer may also inform Velox of their decision by any other unambiguous statement, by e-mail to [email protected] or by post to the address below, using if they wish the model form below.
8.3 Returning the product. The customer sends the product back no later than 14 days after communicating their decision, to: Velox — Returns, 13 rue de la Peltière, 35130 La Guerche-de-Bretagne, France. The cost of return is borne by the customer. If they wish, they may write to us before sending to obtain a return number to enclose with the parcel. The product is returned complete (accessories, instructions), preferably in its original packaging. The customer is liable only for any loss in value of the product resulting from handling other than what is necessary to establish its nature, characteristics and proper functioning.
8.4 Refund. Velox refunds all sums paid, including the initial delivery costs (up to the cost of the least expensive standard delivery method offered), no later than 14 days after being informed of the decision to withdraw, using the same payment method as that used for the order. Velox may defer the refund until it has received the product or until the customer has provided proof of having sent it back, whichever is earlier.
8.5 Exception. In accordance with article L221-28 of the French Consumer Code, the right of withdrawal does not apply to goods made to the customer's specifications or clearly personalised, in particular a wheel rebuilt on the customer's own hub (rebuild).

9Legal guarantees and after-sales service
Independently of any commercial guarantee, Velox is bound by the legal guarantee of conformity (articles L217-1 et seq. of the French Consumer Code) and the guarantee against hidden defects (articles 1641 to 1649 of the French Civil Code), under the conditions set out below.
The notice opposite, drawn up by the European Commission, summarises these rights. It applies to all goods sold in the European Union; you can also find it on the Legal guarantee page of the site and in your order confirmation e-mail.
Learn more: europa.eu/youreurope/garanties.
The consumer has a period of two years from delivery of the goods to enforce the legal guarantee of conformity if a lack of conformity appears. During this period, the consumer need only establish the existence of the lack of conformity and not the date on which it appeared.
Where the contract of sale of the goods provides for digital content or a digital service to be supplied continuously for a period of more than two years, the legal guarantee applies to that digital content or digital service throughout the planned supply period. During this period, the consumer need only establish the existence of the lack of conformity affecting the digital content or digital service and not the date on which it appeared.
The legal guarantee of conformity obliges the trader, where applicable, to supply all updates necessary to maintain the conformity of the goods.
The legal guarantee of conformity entitles the consumer to have the goods repaired or replaced within thirty days of their request, free of charge and without major inconvenience to them.
If the goods are repaired under the legal guarantee of conformity, the consumer benefits from a six-month extension of the initial guarantee.
If the consumer requests repair of the goods but the seller insists on replacement, the legal guarantee of conformity is renewed for a period of two years from the date the goods are replaced.
The consumer may obtain a reduction in the purchase price while keeping the goods, or terminate the contract and be fully refunded against return of the goods, if:
1° The trader refuses to repair or replace the goods;
2° The repair or replacement takes place after a period of thirty days;
3° The repair or replacement causes major inconvenience to the consumer, in particular where the consumer permanently bears the cost of collecting or removing the non-conforming goods, or bears the cost of installing the repaired or replacement goods;
4° The lack of conformity persists despite the seller's unsuccessful attempt to bring the goods into conformity.
The consumer is also entitled to a price reduction or to termination of the contract where the lack of conformity is so serious that it justifies an immediate price reduction or termination. The consumer is then not required to request repair or replacement of the goods beforehand.
The consumer is not entitled to termination of the sale if the lack of conformity is minor.
Any period during which the goods are out of use for repair or replacement suspends the remaining guarantee until the repaired goods are delivered.
The rights mentioned above result from the application of articles L. 217-1 to L. 217-32 of the French Consumer Code.
A seller who in bad faith obstructs the enforcement of the legal guarantee of conformity is liable to a civil fine of up to €300,000, which may be increased to 10% of average annual turnover (article L. 241-5 of the French Consumer Code).
The consumer also benefits from the legal guarantee against hidden defects under articles 1641 to 1649 of the French Civil Code, for a period of two years from discovery of the defect. This guarantee entitles the consumer to a price reduction if the goods are kept, or to a full refund against return of the goods.
Enforcement. To rely on a guarantee, the customer contacts after-sales service by e-mail ([email protected]), by telephone (+33 (0)2 99 75 17 81) or by post, giving their order number and the defect found; Velox tells them how to return the product. The cost of returning a non-conforming product is borne by Velox.
The legal guarantees do not cover normal wear, nor damage resulting from improper use, incorrect fitting or an accident.
10Complaints, mediation and disputes
These T&Cs and the sales they govern are subject to French law.
Any complaint should first be addressed to customer service: [email protected], +33 (0)2 99 75 17 81, or Velox, 13 rue de la Peltière, 35130 La Guerche-de-Bretagne, France. Seeking an amicable solution does not interrupt the periods of the legal guarantees.
Consumer mediation. In accordance with articles L612-1 et seq. of the French Consumer Code, the consumer may use, free of charge, the consumer mediator with whom Velox is registered: the Médiateur du Commerce Coopératif et Associé (FCA), 77 rue de Lourmel, 75015 Paris, France, within one year of their written complaint to Velox.
Failing agreement, the consumer may bring the matter, at their choice, before one of the courts with territorial jurisdiction under the French Code of Civil Procedure or the court of the place where they lived at the time the contract was concluded or the damaging event occurred (article R631-3 of the French Consumer Code).
Between businesses, any dispute falls under the exclusive jurisdiction of the Paris Commercial Court.
