Description

What it does
This family covers the small diameters of racing wheelchairs. The S3 20" Lite, under 100 g, fits the front steering wheel. The S3 Road in 26 mm versions, from 20 to 26 inches, fit the drive wheels, handbikes and racing scooters.
Fitting
Like the MS3, they are fitted without gluing on rims of specific dimensions: the tubular sits against the rim walls, does not slip and absorbs lateral shocks. This is what allows them to be changed at a competition venue with no drying time.
The construction
Compound SPC Silica and carbon black, standard puncture protection, rubber puncture-protection belt, guaranteed maximum weight. Pressure up to 15 bar.
What's inside
 An extra layer of rubberised casing under the tread: a sufficient barrier against most punctures, without hurting efficiency. |
 Tufo's reference road compound: 66 Shore A, a blend of natural and synthetic rubbers loaded with activated silica, for wet grip and low rolling resistance. |
 The training compound, proven over the years: high carbon black content, high mileage, cut resistance. |
 A thickness of rubber placed under the tread: whatever gets through the rubber stops there before reaching the casing. It adds to the model's puncture barrier; it does not replace it. Tufo calls it “protective rubber ply”. |

Glued, or fixed with Tufo double-sided tape: Tufo Double-Sided Tape for road tubulars — no drying time, you ride straight away. Inside, the Tufo Anti-Puncture Sealant — Standard injected through the valve before the first ride seals punctures up to 5 mm.
